So many people have supported me throughout my life to get to this moment that a traditional baby shower didn’t quite feel right.
While we’re calling it a baby shower, it’s really a celebration of all the people who have shown up for me over the past 40 years—with strength, support, and love. It is because of you that this is possible. I am deeply grateful.
This will not be a traditional baby shower.
Partners and kids are absolutely welcome.
My niece has requested a mechanical bull for the kids—Papa Frank said yes. I’m not entirely sure what florals pair with a mechanical bull, but we’ll figure it out. And honestly, while it may be a little unconventional, it feels very on brand for my life.
Since many of you are traveling, we’ll also have:
– A casual gathering Friday evening
– Beach time on Sunday (weather permitting) or time together at the house
If you’re coming from afar and would like to stay a bit longer, let me know—I may be able to extend the room blocks, and I would truly love the extra time together.
I know June is a busy time of year. If you can’t make it, please don’t feel any pressure.
You are invited into this next chapter—whether that’s celebrating now, meeting the baby when he arrives, or holding him when he’s three. What matters most to me is saying thank you and sharing this moment with you in whatever way feels right.
Please RSVP by June 1

We understand many guests will be traveling, so we’ve arranged room blocks at the Holiday Inn and Margaritaville Cape Cod

Registry
I’ve received several requests, so I’ve put together a registry here:

That said, your presence truly is the greatest gift—especially for those traveling.
I’ve also been navigating what I’ll need between Massachusetts and Puerto Rico over the next year, so the registry is evolving. I’ll continue adding to it over time.
I’m very open to gently loved hand-me-downs (especially for larger items across multiple locations), and I’ve kept clothing minimal since I’m not quite sure what sizes will align with which seasons. I will be in Massachusetts for at least 3 months, and be in Puerto Rico by March, but the exact return to Puerto Rico date will depend on how Baby and I are doing.
The one thing I know I will need is help—and I feel incredibly grateful to have so much of it in my life already.
FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
When are you due?
September 3
Where will the baby be born?
Boston
Is it a boy or a girl?
He’s a boy!
Where will you be living?
I’ll be Massachusetts-based starting June 23 (between Boston and Cape Cod).
After birth, I plan to spend the first couple of months on the Cape, and we’ll stay in Massachusetts for at least 3 months (until baby gets his early vaccines), possibly a bit longer depending on how we’re doing.
We’ll then head to Puerto Rico sometime before March 1, spend March–June there, and return to Boston for the summer.
Why is your registry a little… different?
Because my life is a little… different 🙂
I’ll be living between Massachusetts and Puerto Rico, so I’m figuring out what’s needed in multiple places and across seasons.
I’ve also been very generously gifted several larger items already, and I’m very open to gently used or hand-me-down items where it makes sense.
And lastly, becuase I am still getting my business squared away for maternity leave, so I need to spend some time adding things!
What should I wear?
Whatever you want!
I’ll be in a maternity dress… assuming it still fits. TBD.
Is there parking?
Yes!
Please be mindful not to block driveways or park on neighbors’ lawns. If you’re able, leave the closest spots near the house for friends and family who would benefit from a shorter walk.
We’re lucky to have so many of you—thank you for helping make it smooth for everyone.
So wait… what’s the agenda?
Friday, 5:00 PM: Casual together at Frank & Peggy’s house for people traveling from out of town
Saturday, 2:00–6:00 PM: Baby Shower at Frank & Peggy’s. Non-traditional — some optional baby games/activities, but really just being with each other. And of course, Maggie’s mechanical bull
Saturday, 6:00 PM: Optional music, dancing, and hanging out with people who are coming in from out of town (if we’ve rented the tables and chairs, we might as well keep using them!)
Sunday,11:00 AM–4:00 PM: We recognize that many of you have traveled, and if you’re here, we want to see you. If the weather is good, we’ll head to “the beach at the end of the street” at Frank & Peggy’s with sandwiches and light snacks. Rain plan TBD
Anything else we should know?
This is not a traditional baby shower — it’s a celebration.
Partners, kids, and your full selves are all welcome.
